I suggest reading this piece by Gladwell, he of the Simmons argument fame (among the least of actually), but still, even though the full court press thing has been done & said by Simmons and Gladwell before, it’s still interesting to read this version of Gladwell’s opinion through the New Yorker. (It centers around 12 year old girls in Silicon Valley. And Lawrence of Arabia, too. I’m not sure how this applies to the NBA. In fact, I don’t agree that it CAN work.) Also, I could poke a lot of holes in the article itself, but I won’t.
H/T to Canis Hoopus for the article. (I would suggest reading the comment by Zaig below the main article. It pokes every reasonable hole you could have suggesting that the press works at the NBA level.)
