Game #26: Kings at Milwaukee Bucks

So, the grudge match between Tyreke “Easy Reke” Evans and Brandon “Young Money aka BJ3 or B-Money” Jennings happens tonight.

Actually not.

Last night the Bucks lost to the Cavs in a reasonably close contest.

The Kings got pasted last night.

The Kings play at the 6th fastest pace, have the 9th highest offensive rating and 26th highest defensive rating. The Bucks, conversely, play at the 11th fastest pace, have the 24th rated offense and the 6th rated defense.

So yeah, offense vs defense.

Key Matchup’s will almost certainly be Andrew Bogut vs insert body here. The hype will be Brandon Jennings and Tyreke Evans, and reasonably so, but Jennings has shot the ball poorly lately and Evans did not look all world last night vs Minnesota.

Make no mistake, though. The Key to this game for the Kings is Andrew Bogut vs Spencer Hawes/Kenny Thomas/Jon Brockman/Jason Thompson or whoever else guards him.

I’m intrigued to see how Omri Casspi/Donte Greene/Andres Nocioni do against the Bucks as it’s very possible Hawes will come off the bench again. Ersan Ilyasova, the former Turkish/Spanish League plus the owner of a 2 year stint with the Bucks from 2005-07, is a very good rebounder and 3 pt shooter. The Kings must stay with him at all times.

The Bucks are a youngish, exciting team still trying to put all the pieces together. The Kings are a young, exciting team trying to develop all the necessary pieces to win games.

For a Bucks POV, Brew Hoop and Bucksetball should suit you just fine.

Game is at 5:30 PST. TV is CSNCA and Radio is 1140. Enjoy!
